The Wirths World: Easter weekend

Our weekend started Sat. For the last few months Anthony and fellow people have been gathering churches to come together on March 11th and do a march for Jesus. The plan was to gather at the thrift store/ coffee house ( that Anthony presently works at and done ministry in), and sell T-shirts and signs, that said 'Jesus is Lord of New England' to wear and carry during the march.Then walk about a mile into downtown Springfield, Ma. to City Hall. I got there about a half hour early just to help Anthony if he needed any and get a parking spot. The college across the street was nice enough to let people park over there, while we did our march but I wanted to make sure I could park at the coffee house since I had to lug the girls stuff and them. Anyway,to my surprise there were way more people than I imagine that were coming. I was overwhelmed w/ the turn out and the aroma of everyone gathering in the name of Jesus. So many different churches and denominations. It was indescribable. So there ended up being people from like 20 different churches. We sold over 150 shirts. Anthony says there was about 300 people there too. I couldn't believe that many people stood on all the corners by the coffee House for an hour talking to strangers and handing out tracks, then walk to downtown. And to top things off once we started walking it started raining. All I can say is it was AWESOME.

People from New Generation were blowing up balloons. Bill (Anthony's friend) decided to tie a balloon in Alex's hair since she was complaining she didn't want to carry one. She didn't like that idea either so we decided to tie it to Charlie's hat which she didn't care at all.

I just want to say I didn't make her hold this sign or even ask her if she wanted to. She asked, it made proud. Seems like daily she's understanding more and more.

We were walking on both sides of the street and taking over the sidewalks.

Alexa was getting wet while I was holding the umbrella, so she asked to hold it. It was so big and heavy she didn't hold for very long.

Easter Day

I have Charlie who doesn't sit very lady like and Alex who either laughs (which is the face below) or a goofy look.

On Easter we went to church then came home for nap time. We went and hid eggs while the girls were sleeping. After they woke up we went in the backyard to hunt. It was chilly so Alexa was the only one hunting. charlie just wanted Daddy to hold her, which was nice so I could take pics. We had to guide her to each egg almost. She didn't really try to look she just was excited to find them. Also Alex and Charlie played w/ their Easter baskets for the past year so they didn't have one to use for collecting eggs.

After the hunt in our yard we went over to Bill's house for Easter dinner. So this is Charlie in the car eating her one egg of candy. She was not happy when all the candy was gone.

After dinner they had an egg hunt. They have a 7 yr. old and a 19 mo. that were going to hunt eggs. Since Charlie didn't want to at our house we let her at their house, but she had to give the candy to Rozeline. Alex got to hunt also but we let the little girls go first, then the older ones. Alex only got to keep 2 eggs. But they all have fun.
