Birthday Fun

In the month of November we have Charlie and my birthday to celebrate. This yr. Charlie turned 2 and had her first birthday party. We took her and all her friends her age to Chuck E Cheese. I had her birthday on a Tuesday as a playdate kinda thing. It just seemed more successful to have her birthday during the day when all the moms are free than trying to do it on a weekend. The down side was that not too many dads have Tuesday afternoons off, so Anthony almost was the only dad, but luckily 1 of our other friends are church planters so both of them got to come and Anthony had some male conversation. It was also nice that 3 of the 2 yr olds had older siblings Alexa's age so Alexa had kids to run around w/ too. anyway. It was really nice and probably one of the best birthdays we've had. All the kids were free to run around and have fun and the moms didn't really have to worry about where the kid were.

Cupcake time. Charlie didn't really care to blow out her candles. She tried but Alexa helped her.

Charlie and Alexa loved this bowling game. It was pretty fun but didn't give very many tickets so I tried to get them to do other games but they mostly came back to this one.

Charlie was so cute opening up her gifts. Every time she opened a gift she wouldn't want to let it go, or want to open another gift. But she got the hang of it. The only thing she REALLY wouldn't let go of was a princess sippy she got from Addison (who Charlie just loves) so she opened most of her gifts while holding on to the cup.

Josiah and Charlie.

Toward the end when everyone was leaving Alexa and Lydia found this really cool ride. You sit in it and pick a scene. Then as you're watching the movie the seat moves and vibrates like if you were really flying around w/ the characters. The kids loved it

Lydia and Alex playing air hockey.

With the tickets we had at the end Alexa got a bracelet and candy and Charlie got a necklace and candy.

Past out as soon as she finished her lil lolly pop. Running around + friends + food = success/falling asleep in the car.

As soon as Charlie woke up she ran straight to her toys and put her sun glasses on.

My birthday was this past Friday and some of my girls took me out to dinner to my favorite restaruant, thanks to Julie planning it. We went to my favorite place, Olive Garden. I got my usual raviolis. They were sooooo good.
Danielle and I are camera dorks so here's us goofy around.

They got a birthday cake for me which was pretty good. Afterwards almost everyone gave me their Ande candies too. Best dinner ever.

The ladies (starting left side of table and around): Alanna, Krystle, Kelly, and Julie

After dinner Julie and Danielle convinced me to go see New Moon and then we talked Krystle in going too. I think I was the only person that went into the movie w/ out reading the books or seeing the first Twilight and to top it off, the only one to walk out of the movie not caring to see another. Sorry all you Twilight weirdos I guess it's just not for me. But I had a good time just being w/ my girls.
Us waiting in line for the movie.

"What's this movie about" I asked Danielle questions through the whole movie. Poor girl had to sit next to me.

Had to take a pic inside the theatre to prove I went.

Good times. Happy Birthday to my Charlie bear and me.

Fall leaves fall

Last week I took the girls over Danielle's house to play w/ her kids and enjoy the nice Fall weather. I love love Fall: the leaves changing colors and falling, the way the streets look covered in leaves, and the somedays I even enjoy the cool weather. Danielle has a big backyard covered in leaves. So we took the kids outside raked up the leaves, the kids even "tried" to help and took turns w/ the little rake. It was really fun watching them running, jumping, throwing and playing in the leaves. Who'd have guessed that leaves could be so much fun. Charlie was the only one who really didn't get into playing in the leaves. She mostly played on the slide, but she joined a little here and there.

Waiting for Danielle to finish raking, so they could jump in.

Looks like she's laying on the leaves. But just a mid landing pic.

Oops, sorry Isaac.

Addison headed for the leaves

I love this one. Shows how excited they really were to be playing in leaves.

Girls playing in their own little world.

Danielle joining in the fun. They also burried her in the leaves too.

I love this one too. It's like an action shot of Charlie escaping the leaf throwing

Charlie finally playing in the leaves. She grabbed like 5 leaves and threw them in the air, then decided she didn't like them falling on her.

Ohhh Addison. Danielle and I were cracking up. Had to take a pic.

Then Alexa and Isaac decided to play w/ the tunnel. One of them would sit in it and the other would fill it up w/ as many leaves as they could.

Tried to take pics of the girls but it was definitely hard

Then Addison and Charlie kept pushing eachother down the slide so I took a pic of them too.

All in all we definitely weren't clean afterwards, but we had fun.
