Chuck E. Cheese

We had a family day a week ago and decided to go to Chuck E Cheese. Alexa doesn't really play the games she just wants to spend the money and buy things w/ the tickets. This wasn't Charlie's first time at Chuck E Cheese but this was the first time we let her down to explore and play. I think overall we all had fun.

Four at Once

Sept. 1st arrived 4 teeth. We had some rough nights but it's all done now. And there are many teeth on the way....Yeah!

Hanging from the Trees

We finally put up a tire swing in our backyard. It was a lil' difficult getting Alexa on it but once she did she loved it. We put Charlie on it also, but she didn't really seems to care. I love our backyard not only is it big but it's covered w/ shade from the huge trees.

Starting a tradition and passing it on....

As most people know when we lived in Ca. my mom was our # 1 babysitter. Alexa loved Mama watching her but didn't like the idea of mommy leaving. So for some reason my mom came up w/ the idea of letting Alexa look out the window as I drove away and we would wave to each other. This some how worked for Alexa and she wouldn't be upset that I was leaving. Then we had to do it anytime Anthony or I left. We think it's cute that she wants to watch us drive away and half the time she would blow kisses too. The other day Anthony was leaving for work and mid way to running to the window to say goodbye Alexa looked back and saw Charlie crawling after her. Alexa stopped and said, " Come on Charlie you're going to miss Daddy." So she picked her up (which she's not suposed to do) and dragged her to the window. I thought it was so cute all I could do was grab my camera. Charlie usually doesn't even look out the window w/ us but Alexa as she was waiting for Anthony said, " She's big enough to stand now." It's weird the things that come out of their mouths and how cute that it is that she wanted to share this w/ Charlie. So thanks mom for starting this. It seems like we'll be doing this for awhile. Lots of love to you.

Bath Time

Okay to many this may sound weird but this was Charlie's first time bathing in the bath tub. The last time we had a bath tub she was too lil' to sit by herself. And since we've lived in Mass. we haven't had a bath tub. But I just wanted to share the moment. She loved bathing and splashing Alexa. Alexa also loves baths and was VERY excited she didn't have to take showers anymore, and the fact that Charlie was in the tub w/ her, made the bath that much better. Now it's very hard to get them out and/or give them a bath w/ out the other trying to get in.

Labor Day

For Labor Day our church decided to have everyone stay after church and celebrate after service. We BBQ, had games and felowship. It was really nice just hanging out and getting to know more people in the church. It's still really hard for me to remember all their names. But the hardest part is remembering who's related to who. The church right now is mostly 3 large families. And when I say large I mean families of 11-13 and then most of them have children from 2-12 yrs. old. It's really crazy to see a lady that has had 11 kids. God Bless them. Anyway. So we had a lot of fun. Alexa made a new friend, Jacob, and they were unseperatable until the bounce house collapsed and all the lil' kids, except Alexa, wanted to still play in it. Charlie got kidnapped.....not really but there's a lady who has been trying to have kids and can't and everytime she sees Charlie she takes her from me. Anthony played volleyball most of the time and helped w/ food. And I just did what I do best I got to talk and be nosey.

Tinker Bell

A couple months ago one of Anthony's old friends, Adrienne found Anthony's old soccer jacket from back in high school. So she sent it to us along w/ 2 ballet skirts. Adrienne is really into dance so that wasn't a surprise but they were the cutest lil' skirts I've ever seen. As soon as Alexa saw the skirts she wanted to put them on. She said, "Yeah i can look like Tinkerbell." I thought it was funny and tried to explain the skirts were ballet skirts and what ballet is. But she didn't really care and still calls it her Tinkerbell skirt. She lives in this shirt. She always wants to put it on and dance around. So I had to take pictures of the girl s in them. Charlie pretty much just wants to eat hers so I don't put her in hers very often.
