Something new

Ok to my lady friends. As you may or may not know I am NOT much of a reader. If it doesn't have something I can learn from or relate to, I'm most likely not going to read it. I get bored very easily and can fall asleep even easier. But I did want to bring these blogs to your attention. I think most of us can admit that there are things we are still learning or need help w/, whether it's parenting, being a wife, and older women in the church, our daily Christian walk, etc. well here's a good blog that has given me a reality check and inspured me to be a lil' more like a Godly women. Hope you can take something from them or any other blogs they have posted. enjoy.

The Soles of Springfield

The City of springfield did an art show. People came in a painted giant shoes that were later displayed around downtown Springfield. Wanna know more here http://www.springfieldcityhall.com/COS/20100708-sneakers.0.html

The shoes are all really cool and everytime we drive by them the girls start screaming @ each other "Look, Look there's one" So I thought it would be fun the other day to go for a walk & get the girls out of the house. Since we only live a few minute, walking , from downtown I thought it would be cool to go check out some of the shoes. Usually when we go for walk the girls complain after awhile saying they're tired, so I thought this might entertain them on our walk. It was a success. They had a lot of fun posing next to all of them, until the last couple, I think they actually were getting tired.

I took this pic & when we got home I realized there was
not so nice writing on the wall.

Spec Pond

We went to a small little pond w/ some friends, who wouldn't let me take pictures of themSusie and her family. It's basicly a small pond roped off so you swim in a small area but go fishing or canoing in the other part. We went on a cloudy but warm day. Alexa was really excited to go in. She could walk all the way out to the rope and it was probably only chest high, but she wanted her floaties on anyway, I think just so she felt more free to actually swim and play around. Charlie on the other hand was clung to leg when we went out. There are little fish that are swimming around and really have no fear of you but dont bite or anything. Charlie wasn't very happy to be swimming w/ the fish, she got a little freaked out when they would swim by. So we didn't stay in the water too long. But there were a couple times Alexa got out of the water to get a drink or food and then would go running back in the water and Charlie would start to follow her until she hit the water. Pretty funny.

Alexa dog paddling along

One of the times the kids went running into the water

And Charlie stopped as soon as she saw a fish.

Alexa went to help and talk her in, but she still got out.

Daddy helping Charlie clean off her butt since she had been playing in the sand majority of the time.

You can't tell but she is shaking her butt to get all the sand off, really cute.

And a little fun too

Some of the fun in the sand

After Spec Pond Susie took us to a really good ice cream place.....yummy.
It was really funny watching the girls eat their cones. There was soo much ice cream piled on
top that it kept dripping down their hands. Charlie only ate down to the cone and then gvae up. but her cone was so soggy that no one wanted to eat the rest of her ice cream and cone. Alexa ate all of it and was willing to eat Charlie's too but that didn't happen.

When we were all done we had some pretty silly girls on our hands.
