Weekend Fun

I know another weekend of pictures. I just can't help but bring my camera everywhere and then blog about it. Anthony says I've replaced scrapbooking w/ blogging. It's probably true, since this is way easier and less of a pick when theirs little fingers wanting to touch everything. So hopefully no gets bored w/ my friends and family blogs. I really just don't want my love ones that aren't close to miss anything.
So on to my weekend. On Friday I spent the morning w/ Danielle. We met at this store called BJ's (it's like a Costco). and I needed to get some things so she let me use her membership card. then we headed over her house. They just put in a new sandbox, so we went over there and had lunch, then let the kids play for awhile before nap time. It was really fun. They all played really well, so that's always a good day in my book.

A really pretty tree in Danielle's backyard.

Walking down the hill toward the sand box. i love that both of the (little) girls' bellies are showing.

Charlie picked up a shovel of sand 2 times and licked it, YUCK. I guess she didn't learn the first time. This is just her cute little hand.

Charlie loves hats soo much that she saw this helmet and had to put it on. I think it was too heavy or something because she wouldn't hold her head up.

Under the beautiful tree

Saturday:
4Th Demention

We went to see our friends' Christian metal band play. I know metal and Christian music don't sound right in the same sentence. But anyway. They people from New Generation (the church we first went to when we moved here) asked Anthony to come and MC and give a little message. There were 4 bands and 4Th D was the Christian band but they all played metal music, so there were non Christians there and I think that's why they wanted Anthony to say a little something. So we got to the church around 4pm to eat the free food they were handing, to talk, and help set up if needed. I brought the girls w/ me since it was at the church and they could pretty much be free. So they ran around pretty much the entire time. Once the bands started playing around 6pm the girls and I hung out in the church nursery rm. That room has a window so you could see into the sanctuary and the music was so loud that I didn't miss anything. The girls and I didn't stay the whole time. We left toward the end of the 2ND band (about 8:15). It was already past Charlie's bedtime and Alexa's bedtime was coming up. Plus every time someone would open the nursery doors Alexa would say,"That music's loud." and cover her ears, so I knew it was time to go. Anthony said the rest of the show was good. I'm glad since he hasn't been to a metal show in awhile.

Sunday:
Women's Fellowship

Separate blog below.

Monday:
She's a Natural....

Today was Alexa's first day in gymnastics. Man she did awesome. I not just saying that either because she's my daughter. At first when they were stretching she didn't really seem to want to or understand what was going on, so I went and sat w/ her for like 2 min. and slowly backed away. As soon as they started tumbling she was all into it. It was really cute watching the 5 little girls in the class trying to do all the gymnastics moves. I was surprised they did a lot of different things too. Once they got to the balance beam she walked across w/ no help and and did all the bar crawls by herself. And when they had to pulled themselves up on the bar and then the teacher helps flip them, she could already pull herself up and bring her feet to the bars to. All the parents asked if she had been in gymnastics before because she was so strong and flexible. When we left Anthony was talking to his brother on the phone about her class, he sounded like a proud daddy, it was cute. I thought this quote he said was so funny. "She a natural monkey, but not from evolution." So I wanted to share that w/ you. anyway. We signed her up officially when class ended and is dying to get a leotard.

I tried setting the first few pics up so you can see, that the teacher would show her what to do and then her doing it by herself.

tumbles from a straddle. You can see the starting position from the girl next to her.

"show your muscles" - Teacher

Hand stand

tuck jump. I think she liked these just because she could jump so high.

Straddle jump

It stinks that the parent area is up high so I couldn't take good pics and I only had my 35 mm lens.

To the park (after nap time)

Charlie going to steal the ball

Successful.

Growling at Anthony while he's pushing her.

" Hi Daddy"

When we got home the girls had to get wipes and wipe their hands off. Then Anthony put his feet on the table, and they saw how dirty they were and started wiping them off......true disciples.

I love the weekend. Time w/ friends and family.

Women's Fellowship

For the last month I've been trying to gather women for fellowship. Simply just eat, drink, talk, and time w/ God. So I invited all the women from the churches I've been to and finally had it last night. I figure Sunday nights are usually family days and although I feel bad asking women to leave their families for a couple hours on this day, I also thought it would be the perfect day, because most likely the daddies/husbands would be home for those who have children.
Anyway We had a small turn out for our first night, but it was really nice. Since it was our first night I just really wanted to get to know the women better so we didn't really do much Bible talking but it was good to just break the ice w/ lots of laughs and stories. I enjoyed the coffee it kept me up until after I got home at 11pm. I do pray more women will join us and we will be able to join our hearts, stories and faith as a body of believing women. I will keep you updated on how things go w/ each meeting. Please pray that women will come and we will find true fellowship in Christ w/ each gathering.

D is for......

Photobucket

Day w/ Danielle. Or ducks, drinks, desserts, dookie and a darn good day ( beside the dookie). Danielle and I went w/ all the kids to Forest Park, which I've said before is my favorite park around here. We met by the ponds to feed the ducks. It was cute watching the kids throw food at the ducks. Even Charlie and Addi were into this time. Danielle and Addi would freak out every time ducks would start fighting, it was really funny.

Looking at the different types of ducks walking around, letting the kids run free, and having an actual conversation w/ Danielle, while the sun was shining was very enjoyable. That is until Charlie sat in poop ( hence the word dookie in the beginning). And me not noticing picked her up, so I got it on my. It wiped right off my shirt, and that's why I still bring a change of clothes for both girls. So we were covered.

Then we headed over to the play ground and let the kids run some more. When they got hungry we walked right next to the park to the rose garden and had a picnic. The kids ate and then ran even more.

Danielle was taking pictures while I took the older kids to the bathroom. These next pictures looked like a story when I was looking at them so this is my version.

The kids never really seemed to stop moving. Alexa even cried and screamed when we had to leave, saying, "I don't wanna go, I'm not tired." but to me she's saying, " Please take me home fast. I'm over tired and I need a break." but that's my interpretation. It was really nice though to see the sun shining and over 60 degrees, the kids playing w/ no fights. It was a perfect day. Love ya Danielle.
